A LOOK BACK AT 2016...

And bend and stretch and point those toes....Seated Ballet in August saw Rachel Flenley show us that we could all discover our inner ballerina while seated and safe from falling over.
Stitch, stitch, stitch....and lots of quiet as we created beautiful embroideries in July......
Lynn Ruth Miller came to visit us in June and entertained us with her comedy, regaling us with hilarious tales from her varied life.
In May we were treated to an excellent talk by Michael Gilbert on "London 1851 and the Great Exhibition" which was interesting, entertaining and accompanied by an excellent collection of illustrations from that period.
There was more resolution voting in April, with a well informed and thought provoking discussion taking place before we voted on whether or not to put forward the 2 resolutions to the AGM in June. More information can be found here or in your April WI life magazine.
March saw us discovering our inner Fabergé artist as we decorated eggs for Easter whilst hosting the BBC who were filming for an episode of 'Eat Well for Less' which will be aired later in the summer - details of the exact date TBA. It was a very creative and interesting meeting!
In February, Carol Grantham showed us how to make beautiful felted flowers. It was great fun and some pretty flowers were produced.
In January, we discussed the proposed NFWI Resolutions and voted on our favourite. During tea and cake we tried to identify photographs taken from unusual angles around Streatham. Finally Bridged showed us the progress on the Streatham High Road Quilt. Volunteers to add further buildings are welcome. (Help will be provided)
